No Rest for the Wicked Is it Coming to Nintendo Switch?

No Rest for the Wicked: Is it Coming to Nintendo Switch?

No Rest for the Wicked is now available on Steam, but Nintendo fans will want to know if you can take it on the go with the Nintendo Switch.

Previously, Moon Studios’ critically acclaimed Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps found the perfect home on Nintendo’s hybrid console. No Rest for the Wicked takes a different approach to Ori’s focus on tight Metroidvania platforming and vibrant whimsy. Instead, it has a darker tone with a challenging combat system more akin to a Souls game. All of that adds up to something much more technically demanding than their previous games. It suggests that the Nintendo Switch simply won’t cut it for No Rest for the Wicked.

Is No Rest for the Wicked Coming to Nintendo Switch?

Unfortunately no, No Rest for the Wicked will not release on the Nintendo Switch at launch or in the future. It will only be released on current-gen consoles and PC, skipping last-gen hardware entirely. It is exclusively coming out on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. This means it will never come out on Xbox One, PS4, or the Nintendo Switch. Despite Moon Studios having pulled off some mightily impressive ports in its time, fans shouldn’t expect No Rest for the Wicked to ever appear on the Switch.

This will surely disappoint Nintendo Switch owners looking to play Moon Studios’ latest game. It will come as an even greater blow to fans who enjoyed the brilliant Ori series on the Switch. They found a perfect home on Nintendo’s hybrid console. With No Rest for the Wicked’s isometric viewpoint, it seems like it would be a perfect fit for Nintendo’s portable console. However, it is simply too technically demanding for the Switch, especially considering its surprisingly hefty recommended PC specs.

No Rest for the Wicked combat

The only way No Rest for the Wicked would appear on a Nintendo platform would be on the heavily rumored Nintendo Switch 2. It’s expected to have much more power to handle a game as technically demanding as No Rest for the Wicked. For now, if you want to try it out yourself, you will need to play it on PC. It’s currently available on Steam Early Access and will be available for Xbox Series X|S and PS5 later. For everything else regarding No Rest for the Wicked, head over to our Guide Hub.
