Of course, if you’re unfamiliar with ARPGs or just haven’t gotten quite to grips with No Rest for the Wicked’s systems, then you may not know how each of these stats will affect your character. Fortunately, we’re here to explain it all as well as guide you on which stats are actually worth investing in.

All No Rest for the Wicked Stats Explained

There are 8 different stats you can invest points into in No Rest for the Wicked. These will all drastically affect how you play the game, as they’ll dictate what type of weapon you use, what armor you wear, and the types of attacks you can do. Below, we explain what each of the stats means in No Rest for the Wicked and how it’ll affect your playstyle:

StatsStat Description
HealthThe Health stat will increase your overall Hit Points and, thus, how much damage you’ll take overall. Leveling this up is paramount if you want to be able to take more hits before drying.
StaminaThe Stamina stat increases your Stamina bar. This will affect how many attacks, dodges, and blocks you can do before it runs out. If you like unleashing as many attacks as possible or find yourself relying on the dodge roll a lot, then invest in the Stamina stat.
StrengthThe Strength stat increases how much damage you will do with a Strength-based weapon. You should only invest in this if you find yourself using a Strength-based weapon.
DexterityThe Dexterity stat increases how much damage you will do with a Dexterity-based weapon. You should only invest in this if you find yourself using a Dexterity-based weapon.
IntelligenceThe Intelligence stat increases how much damage you will do with an Intelligence-based weapon. You should only invest in this if you find yourself using an Intelligence-based weapon.
FaithThe Faith stat increases how much damage you will do with a Faith-based weapon. You should only invest in this if you find yourself using a Faith-based weapon.
FocusThe Focus stat will grant you additional Focus Bars. You will get a new Focus Bar for every 100 points you invest into the Focus stat.
Equip LoadThe Equip Load stat affects how much gear weight you have. The higher your gear weight, the more cumbersome gear you can wear without changing your Weight Class. Each point you invest into the Equip Load stat increases your gear weight by 10 points.

Best Stats to Level Up Early in No Rest for the Wicked

The best stats to level up in the early game of No Rest for the Wicked are Health, Stamina, and Focus. These will benefit you the most, especially against some of the earlier and surprisingly tough boss fights. Increasing your Health will ensure you can survive some of the more challenging encounters while buffing your Stamina will benefit you massively in the long run.

As loot is randomized, you won’t know what type of weapons you want to run with until a little bit into the game. So, in our opinion, there’s not much point in increasing your Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, or Faith stats until you’re pretty confident you like a certain type of weapon. While Equip Load is definitely a stat you should invest in eventually, the majority of the gear you get early on is lightweight anyway. So, you’ll find your gear weight is consistently pretty low regardless.
