Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: Does it have Co-Op?

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 features a campaign with two characters, which leads to the possibility that co-op functionality is part of the game.

The dual-character narrative allows players to switch between Peter Parker and Miles Morales seamlessly. The idea of playing through the game’s story with a friend would be an intriguing prospect and one that would no doubt introduce new players to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Does Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Have Co-Op?

Similar to its predecessors, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will not feature co-op multiplayer of any kind. Insomniac Games confirmed on their X account that the game will only provide a single-player adventure.

It’s unlikely that there will be any future plans for a co-op mode being added to the game as the studio wishes to keep the game as a solo-player story experience.

What is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?

The sequel to Insomniac Games’ 2018 smash hit, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 takes place 10 months after the story of quasi-sequel Miles Morales and sees both Peter and Miles protecting New York as a united Spider-Man front. The stakes are higher this time though as the duo has to contend with notorious Kraven The Hunter and his team of mercenaries as they seek to hunt down superpowered beings, including both Peter and Miles.

Adding to their plate of troubles is the emergence of the symbiote and its brutal host, Venom. The trials and tribulations that both Miles and Peter undergo will test their strength and courage as they work to balance their normal lives and protect those around them.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is launching on October 20, 2023, as an exclusive to the PlayStation 5. The game is available to pre-order for US$69.99 / £69.99/ AU$124.95. Check out our Game Hub for more articles on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
