Frontier Developments is happy to announce the latest DLC for Jurassic World Evolution 2, titled the Prehistoric Marine Species Pack.
The new purchasable DLC arrives next week, alongside a free content update that’s available for everyone to enjoy.
Jurassic World Evolution 2: Prehistoric Marine Species Pack Adds Four Distinct Marine Species
The Prehistoric Marine Species Pack introduces four different marine species to the game. Each dinosaur adds something different to the game and builds out the total number of available water-based creatures. Here are the four new dinosaurs:
- Archelon: The largest turtle ever discovered, and was from the Late Cretaceous period.
- Nothosaurus: A scary-looking predator from the Late Triassic period. It also features in Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.
- Dunkleosteus: A powerful armoured fish from the Late Devonian period. It’s capable of delivering massive force with its strong jaw.
- Shonisaurus: A Ichthyosaur from the Late Triassic period. Looks like it will be a great dinosaur to see from the new Lagoon Viewing Dome.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 Free Content Update Details
Accompanying the Prehistoric Marine Species Pack is a free update for Jurassic World Evolution 2, available to all players who own the base game, that brings a host of new features for existing players. The updates include
- Lagoon Viewing Dome: This will allow players to showcase their underwater dinos to guests.
- San Diego Amphitheatre: This is currently available in the Chaos Theory mode, but is now placeable in any sandbox park.
- Custom Challenge Share Codes: Players can now create and share their own challenges.
- New Quality-of-life Features: This includes the ability to favourite your most-loved skins, toggle dinosaur hostility towards guests on/off, and access all sandbox maps for limitless creative possibilities.
Release Date and Pricing
Jurassic World Evolution 2: Prehistoric Marine Species Pack and the free update will release on Thursday, August 10, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows Store, and GeForce Now.
The DLC will cost £5.99/USD$7.99/€7.99, and, as always, requires the base game to play.
