Developer Studio Centurion sets out to enamor strategy fans with a demo for their multiplayer real-time strategy Line War.
Studio Centurion, a Swedish team of two, will be bringing Line War to Steam Early Access very soon. Taking influence from beloved names like Command and Conquer and Axis and Allies, Studio Centurion puts its own twist strategy games. Hence, the game merges aspects from wargames, autobattlers, real-time tactics, and 4X to up the strategy while reducing micromanagement.
What is Line War?
Making use of its innovative command system, Line War has players draw on the map to issue orders. With command lines, players can have their units move, engage or defend. These command lines can even be adjusted to better fit specific strategies. Therefore, players never need to click on individual units. Furthermore, the game does away with factions, to focus on balance. As a result, each unit fills a specific role on the battlefield giving players of all skill levels an easier time jumping into the action. Additionally, players will only need to focus on two resources. This lets players focus on how they want to tackle the opposition, using brute force, stealth, or sabotage
Line War boasts the following features:
- A unique command line system that minimizes the need for micromanagement!
- Procedurally generated maps for high levels of replayability!
- Generate Capital via claiming new territory, building economic structures, and trade!
- Generate Energy which powers your units!
- Build a variety of structures and units to enact your strategy!
- Enjoy 2v2, 3v3, and free for all game modes!
Line War is set for a Spring 2022 release on Steam. However, you can get your hands on a demo of the game between February 21-28 during Steam Next Fest. However, a price has not yet been given for the Early Access version of the game. Make sure to add it to your wishlist on the games Steam store page to be notified of any future updates.
