New Game Plus is a popular addition in many modern games; with Remnant 2 releasing soon, players are wondering if the feature will make its way to the game.
Gunfire Games had a hit on its hands with the popular, Remnant: From The Ashes. The game currently sits on Steam with over 85% Positive Rating after 38,000 reviews, but a lingering question remains, does the game feature a new game plus mode?
What is New Game Plus?
New Game Plus is a feature that has been around for decades, and essentially allows you to play through the game’s story mode again but with a twist. The twist is that players can start a new game while keeping all of the equipment that they had achieved in the original playthrough.
It essentially allows players to experience the game all over again but with more resources and tools than they did when originally completing the game. In some cases, the difficulty of the game rises with New Game Plus.
Is New Game Plus in Remnant 2?
Remnant 2 is guaranteed to feature New Game Plus. Fortunately, fans of the feature can breathe a sigh of relief. While it’s not your traditional New Game Plus mode, the re-roll mechanic is still available.
The gameplay loop revolves around “re-rolling” your campaign and adventure modes in order to earn better equipment, all while keeping your stuff. Despite the term being similar to that of a gacha game, it’s completely different.
The feature was present in the launch of Remnant: From The Ashes and it is guaranteed to be present when Remnant 2 launches. The re-rolling mechanic is pivotal to the game and essentially allows each run to offer new bosses, enemies, and map layouts.
Players don’t even have to beat a campaign or an adventure in Remnant to re-roll it. If they feel like their run isn’t going well, they can return to the hub area and select the option to re-roll.
