What Is Included in Dead Island 2’s SoLA Story Expansion?

Dead Island 2’s SoLA story expansion includes a massive amount of content for players to enjoy. Ranging from a new storyline to epic weaponry, this DLC brings an abundance of fun, immersive content for players. Below, we have listed what is included in the SoLA story expansion in Dead Island 2.

New Story

An infectious virus invades The Valley and turns everyone into deadly zombies. While the virus takes over, a chthonic rhythm, known as the beat of the Autophage, calls the newly created zombies. As players come to the festival due to an enigmatic warning message, they must put an end to the destruction by exploring SoLA’s ruins.

New Location

The sound of The Beat threatens everything living at a music festival in the heart of LA. As The Beat infects the living, turning them into zombies, it could potentially swarm the city and eventually go across the world.

New Enemies

The SoLA Dead Island 2 story expansion includes two new deadly enemies. The first is a new apex variant known as the Whipper, which has been driven mad by the Autophage. It has become a horrific sight to see as they self-mutilate and use their disemboweled intestines to attack enemies at long range. SoLA also includes the Clotter, another apex zombie that is immune to damage when it decomposes into a disgusting pile of gore. The Clotter also has the capability to reform and continue the fight, as it can also fire a powerful jet of blood from its heart.

New Legendary Weapons

The Ripper makes its debut in the SoLA DLC, a weapon that fuses a baseball bat and a circular saw into a powerful machine. However, if you’re looking for something long-range, the Sawblade Launcher may be just for you. The Sawblade Launcher fires heavy weapon rotary saw blades that can be used to attack swarms of enemies at a distance.

When is the SoLA Story Expansion Out?

The SoLA story expansion for Dead Island 2 was released on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. The terrifying festival experience is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, the same platforms Dead Island 2 is already on.
