Can You Play Call of Duty: MW3 Zombies Split-Screen?

Call of Duty: MW3 offers some split-screen functionality, but can you play the Zombies mode with a friend in couch co-op? Here’s what you need to know.

Fans of couch co-op or split-screen video games will be delighted to know that MW3 allows two players to share a screen. Unfortunately, it doesn’t apply to every game mode, as some are locked to online multiplayer online. If you are firmly in the couch co-op camp, then you’re likely wondering if Zombies is included in the list of split-screen friendly modes. Below, we explain just that so you know whether it’s worth picking up or not.

Is MW3 Zombies Split-Screen?

No, unfortunately, MW3 Zombies cannot be played in split-screen. Despite offering the ability to play online multiplayer with friends, the Zombies mode in MW3 does not support split-screen. There is no news of split-screen functionality being added in the future, so don’t expect to be able to play Zombies in split-screen this time around. However, with enough demand, Activision may consider adding it in future installments.

This isn’t the only mode that isn’t available on split-screen. In fact, MW3 doesn’t allow you to play most of its game modes with a friend. This includes the Campaign, Invasion, Ground War, and Free-for-All game modes. However, there are fortunately a few that are playable in split-screen mode with up to one player. Sadly, if you were hoping to hop into the new Zombies mode in couch co-op, you’re out of luck.

That’s everything you need to know about playing the new MW3 Zombies mode on split-screen. For more guides like this one, make sure to check out our Games Hub.
