MW3 Zombies has a number of challenging Strongholds to conquer, but none are as tough or rewarding as the Legacy Fortress.
The Legacy Fortress in MW3 Zombies is a heavily defended Stronghold that will take players several Pack-a-Punched weapons and a good few Perk-a-Colas to get through. However, to even reach that stage, you’ll first need to know where it is, how to access it, and if it’s even worth doing in the first place. Trust us, it is. Below, we explain all of that and more.
Legacy Fortress MW3 Zombies Location
The Legacy Fortress is located in the tier-2 threat zone, northwest of the Popov Power POI. To access it, you will need to first gain a Legacy Fortress Key. It is on the border between the tier-1 and tier-2 threat zones but is nevertheless a difficult area to access. It is protected by a large group of Mercenaries as well as patrolling helicopters, meaning the unprepared will struggle to clear it. You can see the map below for an exact location.
How to Get Legacy Fortress Keycard in MW3 Zombies
The Legacy Fortress Keycard can be found in safes in Mercenary Strongholds all across the MW3 Zombies map. You can locate it in any Mercenary Stronghold. Unfortunately, outside of this method, there is no other way of getting a Legacy Fortress Keycard.
To gain access to these Strongholds, you’ll first need to acquire a Stronghold Keycard, which can be purchased from a Buy Station for 2,000 Essence or collected from a Mercenary Camp’s Loot Cache. Once you’ve gotten the Keycard, head to the Legacy Fortress and unlock the doors. It’s important to note that you cannot get the Keycard from Infested Strongholds.
All Legacy Fortress Rewards in MW3 Zombies
Once you’ve completed the Legacy Fortress, you’ll unlock a Reward Rift containing 2 rewards. They are:
- Tactical Negotiator Shotgun
- 3-Plate Armor Vest
The Tactical Negotiator Shotgun comes with a Haymaker base as well as several attachments not currently available in the Gunsmith. Additionally, it has a passive ability similar to the Napalm Burst ability, which sets enemies on fire when shot.
You’ll also get a 3-Plate Armor Vest, which is the best one you can get in MW3 Zombies. It will allow you to equip up to 3 Armor Plates at any given time. Of course, you should really already have one if you’re taking on the Legacy Fortress.
