Players hoping to get their hands on the deadly crossbow early in Call of Duty: MW3 can do so by unlocking it in the Zombies mode. Here’s how you do it.
The crossbow is a powerful Marksman Rifle in MW3 that is famous in the community for being a little broken. It packs a punch and can wipe out your opponents with ease. Of course, you can grind to unlock it to use in the Multiplayer mode. However, you can also get the crossbow by simply playing MW3 Zombies. Below, we explain exactly how to get the crossbow in Zombies.
How to Unlock the Crossbow in MW3 Zombies
You can unlock the crossbow in MW3 Zombies by looting it from a Mercenary Cache in the tier-3 zone. These can be located in Mercenary and Infested Strongholds, as well as in Mercenary Camps. You then have to exfil with the crossbow in order to unlock it and use it in future runs. Alternatively, if you have a friend or meet a fellow player who has the crossbow unlocked already, they can drop it so you can take it and exfil with it. Once unlocked, you’ll be able to equip it as your ensured weapon and use it in the MW3 Multiplayer mode.
Unfortunately, this is the only way to unlock the crossbow via the MW3 Zombies mode. Venturing into the tier-3 zone is incredibly difficult. So, if you’re going to try to get the crossbow that way, make sure to bring along friends and Pack-a-Punch your weapons. It’s worth noting that you can, of course, unlock it by other means through leveling up in the MW3 Multiplayer mode.
