In the realm of RPGs, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader carves out a distinct space. It draws you into the intricate and dystopian universe of the 41st millennium, and the storyline begins with the player earning the title of Lord Captain.
As you progress, you’ll encounter epic space battles and venture into the foreboding city of Commorragh. This journey forms starts with Act I and continues through to the core of Act III. Throughout the narrative, the new Adeptus Astartes companion proves to be a loyal and fierce ally.
The Rogue Trader beta also debuts a range of new features. Character progression, a central element in any RPG, sees a significant overhaul. You’ll find a new doctrine, six updated careers, and an array of new skills and abilities. For Psykers and Navigators, exclusive ability trees add a layer of depth to character customization.
Equally exciting are the upgrades in the combat preparation phase. Now, players can select their characters’ initial placements before the battle begins. This feature brings a new level of tactical flexibility and serves as a boon in encounters following cutscenes.
