Following the release of Little Hope, Supermassive Games have finally uncovered the next chapter in The Dark Pictures Anthology. House of Ashes is set to be the third entry in the 8-part series, and it even features Ashley Tisdale?!
House of Ashes takes place at the end of the Iraq War, and follows Rachel King as she joins an elite military unit. She is searching for a suspected underground chemical weapons facility, but upon arrival, her military unit is ambushed by the local patrol led by Sergeant Salim.
While the fight occurs, an earthquake hits, opening sinkholes in the ground. Both sides are dropped into the ruins of a buried Sumerian temple, awakening “ancient and unearthly creatures”.
To survive the night below the surface, the opposing sides must join together, otherwise, they will meet their impending doom.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes will be similar to previous entries in the series. Therefore, you can enjoy it both single and multi-player. Movie Night mode has proven to be a popular mode amongst my friends and I as we can pass the controller between 5 of us, and make our own decisions for each character.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes will be available sometime next year for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
