The New Konosuba Anime Project is Officially Announced

A new Konosuba project based on the comedy light novel series has officially been approved, with more details to come.

When KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! got a Studio Deen adaptation in 2016, the show pulled a fast one over the viewers. Fans expected yet another typical isekai anime, but instead, found comedy gold.

The main character, Satou Kazuma, would have been blessed by three attractive girls in his harem if only they were not the best worst girls in anime. Between the useless crybaby Goddess, Aqua, the masochist Crusader, Darkness, and the chūnibyō archwizard, Megumin, Kazuma is by far the most reliable of the group. The four mischiefs try to save the world from the Demon Lord as their adventures leave the audience in stitches.

Anime History

Since the second season aired in 2017, the 2019 movie KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson remains the only adaptation of the light novel to date. No one knows whether this new project will be the third season of the anime series or if it will be another standalone movie like in 2019. Although, both seasons, and the movie, rate highly on MyAnimeList, so any future adaptation is welcomed.

There is more information on the way, but the Konosuba Twitter account shared a visual teaser that riled up the fans. According to the same tweet, a follow-up report will be released soon. After all, the studio that will be in charge of this project is still unknown.
