Super Rare Games Have Launched A Publishing Label With 5 Indies
Super Rare Games, one of the world’s leading physical indie games publishers, is incredibly proud to announce its brand new publishing label, Super Rare Originals.
Super Rare Games is known for releasing physical copies of previously launched Nintendo Switch games. These physical titles usually release every three weeks and hit indie games like Abzuand LonelyMountains are a few lucky enough to receive the treatment. Their philosophy won’t change with the expansion as their mission has always been to support talented indies of all scales. This will allow them to achieve this in another way, and fortunately, their passion for physical games isn’t going anywhere.
Many developers have already signed their games up to Super Rare Originals, and five titles have been announced today.
Grapple Dog is a unique 2D action-platformer where you take control of an adorable, little dog called Pablo. You’ll traverse several worlds, meet lots of fabulous characters, and attempt to stop the terrible robotic overlord, Nul, from destroying the world. You can check out our Demo Preview here.
Post Void is a classic arcade-style, first-person shooter that forces you to be fast. You must kill to keep your idol filled with liquid, and each level will vary due to the procedurally generated levels. The game is currently out on Steam with a 98% Overwhelmingly Positive rating, so you can check that out now. Otherwise, there will be a console release in the future.
The Gecko Gods
In The Gecko Gods, you explore a mysterious island as, well, a gecko. You must complete ancient puzzles, climb cliffs and eat bugs as you make your way across an island civilisation lost to time. At the same time, you are on a mission to save your friend, so make sure you don’t spend too long checking out the game’s stunning aesthetics.
Lone Ruin is a spell-based roguelike twin-stick shooter from the creator of Hell is Other Demons. You play as an explorer who seeks the ancient power located at the bottom of the ruin. Moreover, the only way to reach the bottom is by combining and improving spells to defeat monsters and dive deeper into the Lone Ruin.
Completely Stretchy is a short, first-person surreal experience that, from first glance, already looks hilarious. You fly around like Spider-Man and explore the cartoonish Grombi Isles, chatting to interesting characters and participating in their playful activities.
