During Ubisoft Forward at E3 2021, Ubisoft announced that Riders Republic, the new massive multiplayer outdoor sports playground, will launch on September 2, 2021.
Riders Republic introduces players to an open and densely populated world, where they can experience the thrill of outdoor sports. Players will roam freely in an enormous world while competing in a thrilling range of sports such as biking, skiing, snowboarding, wingsuiting and rocket wingsuiting.
Riders Republic will be set in the United States of America, featuring some of the most breathtaking national parks. Bryce Canyon, Yosemite Valley, Sequoia, Zion, Canyonlands, Mammoth Mountain and Grand Teton have all been faithfully recreated and combined to create the ultimate sports park.
Riders Republic Modes
Players can squad up with or play against friends in the follwing modes:
- Mass Races – This mode features over 50 players and allows any sport. New races pop up randomly on the map, so players will need to stay vigilant to compete.
- Tricks Battle – Players will compete in 6v6 matchups, trying to land as many tricks as possible. The team with the highest score wins.
- Free-for-All – Play in 12-player sessions through a select playlist of exciting events.
- Versus Mode – Take on your friends and see who’s the best.
- Multiplayer Competition: Made for the top riders to show off and rise up the rankings.
As players continue to advance in Riders Republic, they will sign with renowned sponsors and participate in legendary sporting competitions such as Red Bull Rampage and the X Games. Players will also be able to customise their rider by unlocking better gear the further they progress.
Built For Next-Gen
Riders Republic is utilising the next-gen framework by having over 50 players on the screen at one time, while also providing 4K/60fps on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. The game will also support cross-play and cross-generation play at launch, so everyone can play together. Those who purchase Riders Republic on last-gen consoles can upgrade their game to the next-gen version at no additional cost.
“We can’t wait for players to get their hands on Riders Republic during the upcoming betas to experience the thrill of this multiplayer outdoor sports experience the way we imagined it. Riders Republic is truly the pinnacle of our multiplayer expertise and we’re excited to offer the community a glimpse into the many social opportunities this dynamic world has to offer.”Arnaud Ragot, Game Director.
Riders Republic will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Stadia and PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store. The game will also be available on Ubisoft+. Players can register now for a chance to participate in upcoming betas. Check it out here.
