Remnant 2 is out now for Ultimate Edition owners, and on top of the current starting Archetypes, players are wondering how to unlock hidden archetypes, such as an Engineer.
There are currently eight known playable Archetypes in Remnant 2, including the Gunslinger, Handler, Challenger, Medic, Hunter, Alchemist, Explorer, and Summoner. Although, there is some speculation that there might be some additional or hidden Archetypes available later in the game.
Is There An Engineer Archetype in Remnant 2?
There is an Engineer Archetype in Remnant 2. It was originally reported that there was no Engineer Archetype in the game as Fextra Life, the team behind the Remnant 2 wiki, had hidden URLs for three different Archetypes that did not feature as starting Archetypes.
When accessing the pages on the Wiki, you received a 403 error stating that the page is forbidden and that you did not have access to the page. This happened on all three of the pages and meant that the information might have become available at a later date or that they knew something that others didn’t.
Fortunately, we can confirm now that the Engineer Archetype is in the game, and here is how to unlock it.
How to Unlock The Engineer Archetype in Remnant 2
The Engineer Archetype can be unlocked by crafting an Engram called the Drzyr Caliper.
In order to create the Drzyr Caliper Engram, players must first acquire an item called the Alien Device. This item can be found in the remote reaches of The Eon Vault, N’Erud, hidden amidst the toxic, foggy region near the Titan’s Reach world stone.
To navigate this hazardous terrain, players can use the Purified Salve, curing the Curse effect and granting resistance. Another important element to note is that the Alien Device can only be found on the second N’Erud map, but should spawn regardless of the map you receive.
Remnant 2 is out now for Ultimate Edition owners, and will officially release on July 25, 2023. The game is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
