Pokemon Go World of Wonders: Start Date, Rumors & Expected Content

The next Pokemon Go season, World of Wonders, is right around the corner – here are all the rumors and everything we know about it so far.

Pokemon Trainers across the globe don’t have long to wait for the much-anticipated 14th season of Pokemon Go. As Timeless Travels comes to a ceremonious end, fans are surely looking ahead at what’s to come in the upcoming World of Wonders season of Pokemon Go. Despite Niantic only revealing a short teaser so far, various leaks and rumors can indicate what’s to come in the next chapter of Pokemon Go. We go into it all below.

Pokemon Go World of Wonders: Start Date & End Date

The Pokemon Go World of Wonders season will begin on Friday, March 1, 2024, and ends on Saturday, June 1, 2024. It follows the same three-month schedule for Pokemon Go seasons that fans are familiar with.

The start of World of Wonders directly follows the end of the game’s 13th Season, Timeless Travels. Niantic recently teased Pokemon Go World of Wonders on their X (formerly Twitter) account, as part of the most recent Pokemon Presents live stream:

Pokemon Go World of Wonders Event Dates

Niantic has already revealed the upcoming event and community day dates for World of Wonders. They are as follows:

  • Community Day dates:
    • Saturday, March 16, 2024
    • Sunday, April 7, 2024 (Community Day Classic)
    • Saturday, April 20, 2024
    • Sunday, May 19, 2024
  • In-game events:
    • Sunday, March 3, 2024
    • Saturday, April 13, 2024
    • Sunday, April 28, 2024
    • Saturday, May 11, 2024

Pokemon Go World of Wonders: Rumors & Speculation

Recent leaks and rumors indicate that new Ultra Beasts Stakataka and Blacephalon will arrive in Pokemon Go, as well as a selection of additional Ultra Beasts making their debut during the World of Wonders season. Additionally, we can expect to see some Gen 1 Pokemon appear and a variety of other Pokemon from different Gens.

In December 2023, leaks revealed that Ultra Beasts Stakataka and Blacephalon will appear in Pokemon Go. As they haven’t reared their heads yet, we can assume they’ll show up during the World of Wonders season. Expect to take part in five-star raids when they arrive. The teaser video from Niantic (above) also hints at even more Ultra Beasts making their way to Pokemon Go during the season!

The announcement video also showed off a variety of Gen 1 Pokemon coming to the game, which is sure to please long-running fans. There will likely be Pokemon from different Gens as well, as Niantic has a lot of gaps to fill in this regard. There are still a lot of missing species from different Gens.
