Pokemon Go is gearing up for another event later this month called Oddish Research Day which allows you to catch a lot of Oddish.
These will be accessible through field research, rather than spawning in the wild, but if you haven’t got a shiny, this will be your best chance. Here are all the details you need:
Oddish Research Day Date and Time
Oddish Research Day will take place on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
This means that no matter what country you live in, the event will take place at your specific local time.
Featured Pokemon and Wild Encounters
Obviously, the featured Pokemon for the event will be Oddish. Field Research tasks will be available when you spin Photo Discs at PokeStops, and trainers must complete them to encounter Oddish. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny variant.
These Pokemon will appear more frequently during the event:
Paras (Shiny Available)
Venonat (Shiny Available)
Bellsprout (Shiny Available)
Shroomish (Shiny Available)
Roselia (Shiny Available)
Cacnea (Shiny Available)
Foongus (Shiny Available)
These are the additional bonuses for the event:
2× Stardust for catching Pokemon.
Increased chance of finding XXS or XXL Oddish.
Wild Oddish may be holding a Sun Stone.
Increased chance of encountering Shiny Oddish.
Oddish Research Day will also feature Oddish at Pokestop Showcases. With an increased chance of finding different sizes, make sure you catch an Oddish and place it on your nearest Pokestop Showcase to win the fantastic rewards.
