Lustrous Odyssey is the latest event for Pokemon Go and will allow players to catch the Dusk Form of Lycanroc for the first time.
From the start of this event, some Rockruff that Trainers hatch or encounter can evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc instead of Midday Form or Midnight Form Lycanroc. Here is everything you need to know about the Pokemon Go: Lustrous Odyssey event.

When is the Lustrous Odyssey Event in Pokemon Go?
Pokemon Go: Lustrous Odyssey runs from Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 10:00 am to Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 8:00 pm local time.
This means people from New Zealand will have access to the event almost a whole day before those in the United States.
Timeless Travels Special Research Part 2
The second part of the Seasonal Special Research story will be active when this event starts. Completing the tasks will reward Trainers with items, XP, Stardust, and an encounter with Rockruff.
Event Bonuses
The Event Bonuses will center around Buddy Pokemon and evolving Rockruff into Dusk Form Lycanroc. Here are all the Bonuses:
- Increased frequency of Buddy Pokémon bringing you Souvenirs.
- Increased frequency of Buddy Pokémon bringing you presents.
- Your buddy will spend more time on the map after being fed Berries or Poffins.
- Rockruff hatched from Eggs received as Adventure Sync rewards during Pokémon GO: Timeless Travels may have a chance to evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc.

These Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild during the Lustrous Odyssey Event in Pokemon Go. All Pokemon can be caught as Shiny.

Eggs
If you equip a 2 km and 7 km egg during the Lustrous Odyssey event, you can hatch Rockruff, in addition to Pokemon that already hatch from those Eggs.
The Rockruff hatched from 2 km and 7 km Eggs will have a chance to evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc.
Field Research Task Encounters
As with every event, there will be Lustrous Odyssey–themed Field Research tasks, and here are the Pokemon you can encounter:
