PAX Aus 2023 is promising to be a blockbuster event and one that many gamers and fans alike won’t want to miss out on.
For its 10th anniversary, the festival is going all out, revealing some thrilling gaming collaborations for eventgoers, including Nintendo and Sega. Let’s dive into what’s on offer!
Nintendo and Sega Take Centre Stage at PAX Aus 2023
Nintendo is returning to the PAX Aus expo floor, and allowing attendees to play Super Mario Bros. Wonder before its October 20 release. You can also shop at the My Nintendo Store right at their booth. Make sure you keep an eye out for more news on all playable titles and merch.
SEGA also joins the event with Sonic Superstars and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Furthermore, Melbourne’s own Ukiyo Studios brings SEA What I Made! (SWIM), showcasing 15 titles from Southeast Asian developers. You can expect everything from RPGs to restaurant management sims.
Tabletop Gaming Galore
If tabletop games are your thing, you’re in for a treat. Star Wars: Unlimited will demo for the first time in Australia at PAX Aus 2023. Two big names — Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering — also arrive. Learn to play D&D or explore the Wilds of Eldraine in Magic: The Gathering.
There will also be the Dragon Ball Super Regionals and One Piece card game tournaments to showcase their games, and you can even pick up a free demo deck while supplies last. Vanguard, Weiss Schwarz, Shadowverse and Final Fantasy Trading Card Games also join the list. Along with Asmodee, the makers of popular games like Exploding Kittens and CATAN will be there with their latest games.
You can also meet tabletop legends Phil Walker-Harding and Matt Dunstan on the floor. Walker-Harding shows off his game, Spellbook, while Dunstan reveals a brand-new game.
Developer Stories: Bears in Space
Broadside Games will share their journey from juggling day jobs to focusing full-time on game development. They’ll spill the beans on their upcoming game, Bears in Space.

Limited Tickets Remain for PAX Aus 2023
PAX Aus 2023 will take place between October 6-8 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. However, there are limited tickets remaining, with three-day and Saturday badges completely sold out, and only a few single-day badges remaining.
