No Rest for the Wicked: How To Fast Travel & How Does It Work

If you’re looking to find out how to fast travel to get about easily in No Rest for the Wicked, we’ve got you covered!

No Rest for the Wicked has a large and densely filled map full of enemies to fight, chests to loot, and hidden areas to explore. As you’ll be traversing through the shores of Isola Sacra on foot, getting from point A to point B can be a bit of a slog. Thankfully, players can unlock fast travel soon enough. However, they may be surprised to find out that it works quite differently from most other games. Below, we go into everything you need to know about fast travel in No Rest for the Wicked.

How to Unlock Fast Travel in No Rest for the Wicked

To unlock fast travel in No Rest for the Wicked, you must first reach Sarament City and complete the game’s Prologue. This will allow you to fast travel back to the primary Whisper in Sacrament from any other Whisper in the game.

To enter Sacrament, you must first defeat the game’s first major boss: Warrick, The Torn. This terrifying monstrosity is located just outside the city gates and will take patience and quick timing to defeat. We recommend having enough meals to heal during the fight. His attacks will deal a devastating amount of damage to you if you’re not careful.

With Warrick taken care of, a cutscene will play out, and the city gates will open up to you. A popup will appear informing you that you have now unlocked fast travel and that you need to interact with the “primary Whisper” in Sacrament. You’ll stumble upon the Sacrament primary Whisper while exploring the city. It looks like any other Whisper in the game and is signified by a big glowing blue orb of light.

No Rest for the Wicked: Fast Travel, Explained

In No Rest for the Wicked, you can only fast travel to and from the primary Whisper in Sacrament and the last Whisper you interacted with. To initiate fast travel, you need to rest at a Whisper by hitting the corresponding interact button. By interacting with the Sacrament primary Whisper, you can fast travel to the last Whisper you rested at. For any other Whisper, you can only fast travel back to the primary Whisper in Sacrament.

This works very differently from other fast travel systems; it limits you to just two fast travel points at a time. In most games, you can fast travel between multiple points spread across the map at any given time. This isn’t the case in No Rest for the Wicked. This is most likely a way to encourage exploration of its map, which changes over time with different enemy mobs and loot. It gives players a way to conveniently access the city so that they can purchase and upgrade gear. It also allows you to deposit any extra items at the Community Chest in the Rookery. That’s all for fast travel in No Rest for the Wicked. For more guides on the game, be sure to head to our Guide Hub here.
