With heaps of rumours spiralling ahead of Call of Duty Next, the latest one involves MW3 Zombies and matches being limited to 60 minutes.
Call of Duty: Zombies matches can last multiple hours, especially when reaching the latter rounds. A 60-minute time limit might be a significant downside for any player who is hoping for the classic Zombies gameplay to return.
Will MW3 Zombies Matches Be Limited to 60 Minutes?
Zombies matches in MW3 being limited to 60 minutes is a rumour that many fans of the series will not be excited about. While there is no hard evidence on whether there will be a time limit on the gameplay, the possibility that something like this could eventuate will discourage many fans from playing the game.
The rumour began on Reddit from a user named “Kalinine” who has stated a few features of the upcoming Zombies mode. They describe the gameplay as “a mix between Outbreak and DMZ” and, of course, that “matches will have a 1-hour time limit”. Here is the full post on Reddit.
Will Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Be Round-Based?
While we don’t have a lot of confirmed information about Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, we do know that it will not be round-based. Instead, the mode will be similar to the Outbreak mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
Fortunately, Call of Duty 2024 will see the return of the traditional round-based Zombies experience that many have grown to love. The catch is, you’ll have to wait another year.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is releasing on November 10, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Battlenet. More information for MW3 Zombies will be shown at Call of Duty Next on October 5, 2023. Those interested in more information on MW3 can check out the MW3 Game Hub here.
