JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Debuts on Netflix Next Month

This Tuesday, Netflix revealed the next instalment of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure during the Netflix Festival Japan 2021. The 12 episode series features the Stone Ocean arc from Hirohiko Araki’s popular manga and begins airing on December 1st.

This marks the fifth season of the anime adaptation and the sixth part of the manga’s story. Warner Bros Japan also released four new trailers for the anime that were posted on the JJBA official Twitter account.

What is Stone Ocean About?

In 2011, Jolyne Cujoh finds herself in an accident in Florida while on a drive with her sweetheart. Unfortunately, she then falls into a trap and is sentenced to fifteen years at the state-run maximum-security correctional facility, Green Dolphin Street Prison, also known as the Aquarium. But, Jolyne doesn’t have to wait in despair for too long as unusual events are about to change her fate.

She receives a pendant from her father that awakens a mysterious power inside of her. It all starts with a message from a mysterious boy who appears before Jolyne. This kicks off a series of strange events that occur in quick succession, beginning the final battle to end the century-long, fateful confrontations between the Joestar family and DIO.

Kenichi Suzuki returns as the chief director after directing Parts 1-3.
