Lords of the Fallen is a lengthy soulslike experience, but just how long does it take to complete it?
Soulslike games tend to take a long time to beat, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the genre. It looks like Lords of the Fallen, the latest title from Hexworks, will be another lengthy affair. However, if you’re wondering just how long, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered. Below, we explain just how long it takes to beat Lords of the Fallen and how much replayability it has.
How Long is Lords of the Fallen?
Lords of the Fallen will take players between 25 and 30 hours to see the credits roll. However, there is plenty of replayability, as the New Game Plus mode changes the game dramatically.
This was confirmed by HexWorks’ studio boss Saul Gascon and Creative Director Cezar Virtosu during an interview with MP1st. During the interview, they discussed how for a newcomer, Lords of the Fallen will take around 30 hours, whereas more veteran players will take 25. Gascon elaborated on this, saying, “The single player experience for us […] think around 25 hours. For a new player it’s gonna be somewhere around the 30 or more.”
They also explained that it has 3 different endings that change depending on which faction you choose to align with. Additionally, they explained that the different classes and possible build types also add to the game’s replayability. For comparison, Elden Ring takes around 58 hours to beat, and Dark Souls 3 takes roughly 32. That makes Lords of the Fallen around 28 hours shorter than Elden Ring and only 2 shorter than Dark Souls 3.
Nevertheless, it looks like there will be plenty of content for the soulslike aficionados out there to sink their teeth into. Of course, make sure to check out our Games Hub for all the latest news and guides on Lords of the Fallen, as well as our full review.
