Genshin Impact will receive a Global Online Concert for 1st Anniversary

Earlier today at Gamescom 2021, the global interactive entertainment developer and publisher, miHoYo, announced that Genshin Impact will host its first online concert: Melodies of an Endless Journey.

The original Genshin Impact soundtracks are produced by HOYO-MiX, miHoYo’s in-house music team, and are written by the accomplished composer, Yu-Peng Chen. However, the concert will not be performed by HOYO-MiX. Instead, it will host the world-famous Belgian conductor, Maestro Dirk Brossé, and the Flanders Symphony Orchestra, who will present the original soundtracks of Genshin Impact.

The announcement trailer offers just a small glimpse of the online GENSHIN CONCERT 2021. As previously mentioned, it stars Maestro Dirk Brossé and the Flanders Symphony Orchestra as they perform a Mondstadt theme. Maestro Dirk Brossé is a respected and award-winning composer. He is most notably known for participating in the Star Wars in Concert World Tour. The concert will last approximately 90 minutes.

Furthermore, the concert will also have multiple stages from countries around the world, such as the United States and South Korea. Here, talented musicians from around the world will also provide interpretations of iconic tracks to worldwide fans and players.

“We’ve been experimenting with varied cultural elements in Genshin Impact’s music in the past and present, and will continue to do so in the future. When Maestro Dirk Brossé and the Flanders Symphony Orchestra first played the Mondstadt theme, we immediately knew we got the ideal team to recreate some of the most memorable moments in the game for fans and players. At the same time, the GENSHIN CONCERT 2021 is also a blessed opportunity for our team to communicate with gifted artists around the world and learn from their distinct interpretations of the game and music through various covers.”

Yu-Peng Chen, Composer and Music Producer of HOYO-MiX.

Genshin Impact is a gacha RPG developed by miHoYo and released in late September. The game features co-op elements that took the world by storm, cross-platform availability, an entrancing original soundtrack, and addictive open-world gameplay. Genshin Impact had amassed over 800 million USD in revenue by the new year and won numerous accolades despite only being released a few months prior.
