Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth sees the return of many familiar summons for players to use during battle, including the legendary Titan. Here’s how you get your hands on it.
Titan is a returning summon that has the power of non-elemental attacks. He is the first of the summons that you can obtain in the game. His special ultimate attack is called Earthen Fury, which deals a large amount of non-elemental magic damage. Below, we explain how you unlock him.
How to Unlock Titan in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
To unlock the Titan summon in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you will have to defeat Titan in Chadley’s simulation. You will meet Chadley for the first time at the Chocobo ranch in the Grasslands open area.
However, it will be near impossible to defeat him up front. It is an incredibly tough boss fight that will test even the strongest FF7 veterans. Fortunately, you can weaken him by locating all 3 of his Sanctuaries that are scattered across the open world. Finding each sanctuary both makes Titan easier to defeat and also makes the materia stronger when you unlock it. Below, we explain where you can locate the Sanctuaries.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Titan Sanctuary Locations
All of the three Titan sanctuary locations are in the grasslands, reachable during Chapter 2. They will not be obtainable until you have spoken to Chadley for the first time.
The first location is obtainable by going to the far right of the Grasslands towards the ocean. From here, there will be a ramp down to a hidden cave. Head into the cave, and you will find the first of the sanctuary locations.
The second location is northwest in the Grasslands, in the desert area. Here, you will find some barren lands covered in Shinra mako pipes. After passing the southernmost pipeline, head southwest a little more, and you’ll find a cave. Head inside, and you’ll find the second Titan Sanctuary.
The third and final location is on your way through the swamplands once you have obtained a Chocobo. This will occur by progressing through the main scenarios in Chapter 2. To get here, you’ll need to climb the wall on the right just after going under the first deserted bridge. You can reach this bridge by following the destination point for the main story quest. Once you’ve climbed the wall, you’ll find a cave. Head inside to find the final Sanctuary.
After following these instructions and map pins and locating the three Sanctuary locations, the Titan will be significantly easier to defeat.
