Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is taking the world by storm. If you haven’t played it or even heard of it, then get out from under that rock and download it immediately. Fall Guys’ popularity is skyrocketing right now and they have just surpassed 7 million sales on Steam. Not convinced to download it yet? Fall Guys is now the most downloaded PlayStation Plus game of all time after it was revealed as the free game for August.
On Friday, the first Fall Guys tournament premiered with $50k being distributed to the winner. Full Guys total views proceeded to surpass 700k with the majority of the people tuning in to the first tournament on twitch rivals.
Since Fall Guys is absolutely everywhere, people have begun to design concept skins. Skins that are combining elements from different brands in order to dress up your character. It isn’t just your average Joe either, a lot of big brand skins have emerged such as KFC, Crash Bandicoot and even Majin Buu from Dragon Ball Z.
To combat this, Fall Guys have created a competition called ‘Battle of the Brands’. It’s simple, reply to the tweet with the highest amount of money you would be willing to donate to Special Effect and the highest donation wins a skin in Fall Guys.
Initially, the bids started small. Warframe, a third-person shooter, kicked off the bidding with a $20k donation. Following this, some notable names in the community got involved. Aimlab, Ninja, Mr Beast and even a bidet company, Tushy Bidet, all got amongst the action.
At the time of writing this, the highest bidder is FGTeev. A family gaming team who have over 16 million subscribers on YouTube. Their bid is a whopping $510,000 but didn’t release a skin alongside it.
The competition started on the 18th of August and concludes on the 2nd of September. So there is still time for late entries. Mr Beast is rumoured to be making a last-minute bid for charity so will it hit the coveted one million dollars? Only time will tell.
Fall Guys doesn’t appear to be slowing down and it has recently released a season 2 trailer at Gamescom. The new season kicks off on October 6th, so there is still plenty of time to smash out the current battle pass.
