The Year of the Dragon is on the horizon, and Dying Light 2 is celebrating the momentous event with a free content update.

Dying Light 2 has been providing regular updates to players since its release, with the most recent bringing the Christmas spirit to the game. Fortunately, the developers are proving that the game is a labor of love and that there are many updates on the horizon. Here is everything you need to know about the Year of the Dragon free update.

What is included in the Year of the Dragon Update for Dying Light 2?

The Dying Light 2: Year of the Dragon update is a limited-time event where Encounters spawn across the map, with PKs and Survivors in need of saving. Completing these scenarios will reward players with Red Envelopes that contain rewards. These rewards include the Sky Piercer Ji polearm, the Legendary Dragon Warrior outfit, the Tigerwing paraglider, and the Chi-Tu charm.

Furthermore, players can log on to experience different daily Dragon’s Blessings, yielding gameplay benefits, and there will be additional free gear on Pilgrim Outpost and Twitch drops.

When Does The Event End?

The Dying Light 2: Year of the Dragon update will end on Monday, February 19, at 3 am PT / 6 am ET / 11 am GMT / 10 pm AEDT. This means that players will have 11 days to earn the Dragon Warrior Bundle. Fortunately, if you don’t have the time, the bundle will be available for purchase at a later date for 500 DL Points.
