Outright Games, in partnership with BBC Studios, is happy to announce that the first ever Bluey video game will launch in November 2023.
Since its launch in 2018, Bluey has been a critical success, both in Australia and internationally. It has won numerous awards, including a 2022 BAFTA Children & Young People Award, a fourth consecutive AACTA Award for Best Children’s Programme, an International Emmy Award, and numerous awards for craft and production.
What is Bluey: The Videogame?
Bluey: The Videogame is a sandbox adventure game based on the Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning global TV series centered around the charming and energetic Australian Blue Heeler dog named Bluey.
Players can explore faithfully recreated and iconic locations, including Bluey’s home, and engage in story-driven episodic gameplay with activities inspired by fan-favorite moments from the show, as well as a brand-new four-part storyline.
The game supports up to four players who can play as Bluey, her sister Bingo, Mum, and Dad. You can embrace your inner Bluey by engaging in minigames featured in the series, such as ‘Keepy Uppy’ and ‘Magic Xylophone,’ and complete various activities to earn in-game rewards, including new costumes, stickers, playable episodes, and additional locations.
Designed with flexibility in mind, Bluey: The Videogame allows fans to engage with the game at their own pace. Players can seamlessly switch between story quests, activities, and exploration whenever they desire. The game also caters to a wide audience, providing adjustable difficulty features that make it accessible and enjoyable for both preschoolers and older fans. These include a UI on/off toggle, clear on-screen instructions, and a full voice-over. Additionally, players can leverage physics-based mechanics to manipulate objects, interact with the game world, enhance mini-games with added challenges, and freely explore the sandbox environment. It has something for everyone!
Bluey: The Videogame Release Date
Bluey: The Videogame is out now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. The game launched on November 17, 2023.
