Developer Fiction Factory Games and publisher PQube are pleased to announce that the visual novel Arcade Spirits: The New Challengers is coming out in May.
A follow-up to 2019’s Arcade Spirits, The New Challengers does not seem to be a direct sequel. Therefore, this makes the game a possibly great entry point for newbies to the series. Players will dive headfirst into a nostalgia-filled alternate future in search of love and esports fame. Additionally, you can learn more about the game’s cast via the just-released character trailer.
What is Arcade Spirits: The New Challengers?
The New Challengers is set in an alternate future where arcades still reign supreme. To sum up, this means there’s plenty of heavy 80s inspiration with synth vibes to back it up. As a result, the Esports scene is centered around arcade cabinets rather than PC. Meanwhile, you’ll do more than just battle as you meet and befriend a diverse cast. You can fall in love with whomever you wish or keep things casual as you explore the story and world.
