Unfortunately, while fans have enjoyed numerous great video games over the past year, many video game companies have seen mass layoffs. This is usually done to ensure a company maintains its profits, which cruelly comes at the cost of people’s livelihoods. Studios ranging from small indie teams to AAA publishers have been affected. This issue was very prevalent in 2023 and only continues to worsen in 2024.
