Aksys Games announced a showcase event revealing some of their upcoming games on their official Twitch channel, AksysGames.
The Aksys Showcase Event will air on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 9 AM PST/5 PM GMT/ 3 AM AEST (the next day). The confirmed games at the event include:
Blazing Strike
Blazing Strike is a 2D fighter inspired by Capcom and SNK that incorporates a unique games system with modern mechanics and a nostalgic 2D pixel art. The game will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Variable Barricade
Variable Barricade is a visual novel that follows the member of a prestigious family and heiress to a fortune, Hibari. She has to court with various bachelors that are attempting to win her hand in love due to her rich inheritance. The game will release on Nintendo Switch.
Lover Pretend
Lover Pretend is a visual novel that stars Chikyuki, an aspiring scriptwriter — a dream of her late mother — in her mission to find her father whom she never met. She lands a part-time job as an assistant, while she ends up in a twist of events that have her play the role of a fake love interest. Lover Pretend will release on Nintendo Switch.
Paradigm Paradox
Paradigm Paradox is set in the far future, year 25XX, where mankind is isolated into colonies. The protagonist is a student at the academy that is bored with mundane daily life. One night, she slips out of her dorm and falls into an enemy colony, only to discover a secret power innate within her that leads her to work as a Hero. Paradigm Paradox will release on Nintendo Switch.
Kimi wa Yukima ni Koinegau
Kimi wa Yukima ni Koinegau takes place in the first year of the Kyoho-era. The narrative is set in the town of Edo, after years of monster attacks, where a girl has the power to see a “black thread” before a disaster happens. She is driven away by the villagers, only for her to discover “non-humans” and a shot at true love. Kimi wa Yukima ni Koinegau will release on Nintendo Switch.
Piofiore: Episodio 1926
Piofiore: Episodio 1926 (NSW) is the sequel to last year’s Piofiore that has Liliana immersed in a dangerous turf war between mafia clans. It includes the perspective of the previous story from the other person’s perspective. Piofiore: Episodio 1926 will release on Nintendo Switch.
