Ranked Play is coming to Call of Duty: MW3, but the question of when it will arrive is what most players are curious about.
While numerous players get their taste of competitive play by playing the Multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: MW3, some want to play at a more consistent skill level. Ranked Play is the solution and has been a staple feature in many previous games. Below are all of the details on when we can see the mode on Call of Duty: MW3.
Ranked Play is coming to Call of Duty: MW3, along with the launch of Season 1 reloaded on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. However, according to the latest Call of Duty: MW3 update, it will not be made available immediately as the team must conduct additional tests.
Greg Reisdorf, Sledgehammer’s Creative Director, discussed that the mode would be worked on and released for the mid-season point in Modern Warfare 3 Season 1. As the mode is set to launch in January, it would align with the launch of Season 1 Reloaded, which is believed to be on the update day of Wednesday, as previously discussed.
In comparison, Ranked Play didn’t launch in last year’s Modern Warfare 2 until the release of Season 2 in February 2023. If this is the case, MW3’s launch of the mode will be sooner than its predecessor, even with Treyarch working on changing some of the implementations.
Ranked Play is a competitive mode of Call of Duty: MW3 Multiplayer that allows players to rank depending on their skill throughout a season. It is separate from the main mode and allows players to earn unique rewards, such as Operator skins, that represent the rank they receive, including Bronze, Silver, and much more.
While Call of Duty: MW3 Ranked Play will involve rewards, it is not confirmed what we can expect to see until the mode is released. However, as with previous iterations of Ranked Play, there will be placement rewards at the end of each season.
That is everything we know about Ranked Play in Call of Duty: MW3 and when we expect it to arrive. Make sure to head to the Games Hub for more details.
