Todd Howard has announced when fans can expect to play Starfield’s hotly-anticipated DLC, Shattered Space.
Starfield was released to mixed reviews, with some fans absolutely loving it and others less so. Wherever you sit on the proverbial Starfield fence, it’s hard to deny that its upcoming DLC is a little interesting. Fortunately, for those who are genuinely excited about its release, we now have a clear idea of when we can expect it to launch.
Starfield Shattered Space DLC Release Date
Starfield’s upcoming DLC, Shattered Space, will be released in Fall 2024. This was confirmed by Todd Howard during the Kinda Funny Gamescast. When asked whether the features he was discussing would be added in the Shattered Space DLC, he replied, “Shattered Space is in the Fall, but we have a big update that’s coming really soon for Starfield.”
Unfortunately, a specific release date for the DLC has not been announced. However, players can likely expect it to drop around the months of September, October, and November. In addition to announcing the release date of Shattered Space, Howard also teased a huge update coming to Starfield. While a full announcement is coming later this week, Howard confirmed that the following will be added in the update:
- New display modes on console
- Additional shipbuilding features
- City maps
- New gameplay & difficulty options
- Additional “surprises”
Fans have been clamoring for a Starfield update since its launch. However, Bethesda haven’t released anything too substantial. It appears that the focus has been on releasing the Fallout 4 next-gen update which released in a broken state. Of course, it now looks like Starfield fans have a lot to look forward to.
