Optus Sport, a group of Australian channels by telecommunications giant Optus, is available now on PlayStation 5.
For soccer-obsessed gamers, this will be music to their ears as they can now watch some of the best football leagues in the world, including the Premier League and Women’s Super League.
Howard Rees, Head of Optus Sport, said: “Optus Sport launching on PlayStation 5 is great timing with the new season of the Women’s Super League now underway, as we continue to follow the journeys of their Matildas heroes, including Sam Kerr (Chelsea FC), Steph Catley (Arsenal), Mackenzie Arnold (West Ham United), Mary Fowler (Manchester City) and many others. I know that there are a lot of Optus Sport customers that have been awaiting the day they can watch their favourite team via their PS5TM, and that day has now arrived.”
Adding to the conversation, Goncalo Fialho, General Manager, Sony Interactive Entertainment, said: “We are delighted to offer Australian access to even more live entertainment on their PlayStation 5 consoles through our expanding relationship with Optus Sport.
