Liberate Or Conquer Mars In The Turn-Based Tactics Game, Mars Tactics
Developer Takibi Games and publisher Hooded Horse have announced a brand new turn-based tactics game titled Mars Tactics.
Many of us are tentatively awaiting the release of XCOM 3 by spending our time playing other tactical turn-based titles. You’ve probably already played through every tactics game under the sun by this point and just want a charming indie title to sweep you off your feet and take you to dinner. Alas, they tend to be few and far between. Fortunately, indie developer Takibi Games’ first game looks set to be the next best thing in the tactical turn-based genre. It’s being published by a veteran of the strategy games genre, Hooded Horse (the folks behind Old World), so you know it’s in good hands.

What Is Mars Tactics?
Mars Tactics is a turn-based tactics game that feels like Red Faction: Guerrilla and XCOM had a baby. In both the game’s narrative and gameplay, players can expect to experience the thrill of complete and utter freedom. It’s your job to liberate Mars from its evil oppressors while blasting their heads off and destroying the environment around you. You know, the peaceful way. After choosing between either of the two distinct factions, you’ll have to explore the overworld and solve any encounters through intense tactical gameplay. There’s a lot going on here, and frankly, it all sounds incredibly exciting. However, if you want to know more, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here is what you can expect when Mars Tactics launches sometime next year:
Choose between the greedy Mellon Corporation or the rebels and fight to conquer Mars
Explore the tactical map and make important decisions that could cripple your enemy
Secure territories, facilities, and assets across the overworld to aid in your war efforts
Engage in small to extremely large battles in intense turn-based combat
Use the 360° aiming system to target anything or anyone during a fight
Develop and unlock personality traits in the heat of combat
So far, Mars Tactics is scheduled to launch in 2023. While you wait, you can check out its Steam store page and wishlist it to be notified of any future updates.
