Gamescom will run the course of the weekend from Friday to Monday. The opening night will kick off with a two-hour showcase of games, which has been confirmed by Geoff Knightly to be “indie stuff to “next-gen stuff” and the “biggest games in the world”. There are 38 games from 18 different developers, with two games being confirmed so far. DOOM Eternal is getting a Campaign Expansion, Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part 1. The second game is currently the talk of the town, Fall Guys.

Mediatonic’s Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will be revealing a season 2 during the show. After achieving worldwide success just a few weeks after the game’s launch on Steam and on PS4. Reaching over 8 million players as a free PlayStation Plus title.

It hasn’t been revealed how prominent the partners will be during the Gamescom show, but Ubisoft has confirmed that it’ll be there as part of the Indie Arena Booth Online 2020. They have games from 13 Canadian and German indie studios that they’ll be presenting as part of the Ubisoft Entrepreneurs initiative.

Game Crater will be bringing you all the latest Gamescom news and updates from the event live as it happens on all of our socials.
