Intellivision Entertainment has announced that the Intellivision Amico console launch is now planned for Autumn 2021. The console aims to bring great gaming experiences to families just in time for Christmas. The Intellivision Amico release date is now October 10, 2021, one year after the team initially intended to launch the console.
Hans Ippisch, President Europe and Managing Director of the European branch, states, “We had no other choice after Covid-19 prevented the Europe-wide PR tour planned for February from being carried out, and we had to cancel the mall tour planned for March due to the lock-down extension and travel bans. That is why we have coordinated with partners and our exclusive distributor Koch Media and consider a launch in the second half of the year to be realistic.”
The Intellivision Amico will launch with 6 pre-installed games: Intellivision Skiing, Intellivision Farkle, Shark! Shark!, Cornhole, Astrosmash, and one game yet to be announced. Also, around 30 exclusive Amico games will be available at launch in both digital and physical formats.
