Keen Games, known for the RPG Sandbox Portal Knights, is happy to present an exciting new gameplay trailer for their highly anticipated co-op game, Enshrouded.
The trailer offers gamers a glimpse into the game’s building and terraforming mechanics. Powered by a cutting-edge custom engine and voxels technology, Enshrouded empowers players to construct awe-inspiring bases and shape the environment around them to match their wildest imaginations.
What is Enshrouded?
Enshrouded is an upcoming RPG game where you must survive, craft, and fight in an action-packed world. It takes place in a large open world, where you can explore mountains and deserts, and make your own choices to shape your destiny.
Similar to other survival games, you begin Enshrouded with nothing but the desire to survive in the wilderness. You’ll have to scavenge and search through the remains of a fallen kingdom while gaining strength to venture into the dangerous Shroud and fight against the terrifying creatures that want to eat you.
It’s important to mention that there is 16-player co-op, so you can play through the whole game with an entire entourage.
What is Shown in the Enshrouded Gameplay Trailer?
In the newly released deep-dive, players are introduced to many tools and approaches that unlock their creative freedom within Enshrouded. Whether opting for simplicity or intricate designs, the possibilities are endless. With the ability to effortlessly mould the land to their liking, gamers can transform the surrounding terrain into an extension of their vision.
By using terrain shaping tools, players can create sprawling farm fields, establish hidden underground lairs in the mountains or add basement levels to grand castles. Alternatively, players can mould the land into rolling hills and utilise various terrain types to either entice or deter visitors from their bases.
Once the foundational structure is complete, players can add personality to their creations by decorating them with over 100 props. These decorative items range from trophies acquired by defeating bosses to showcasing players’ progress and accomplishments. Beyond aesthetics, furniture also provides players with buffs and enhanced capabilities.
Early Access Release Date Details
Enshrouded will launch on PC via Steam Early Access in 2023. You can wishlist the game now.
There is no official confirmation if the game will release on consoles, but we can assume that a console release will only be considered after the game exits early access.
