Within the DLC, players can look forward to two expansions, each introducing a host of brand new missions, weapons, skills, and captivating areas to explore.
The first expansion, titled Haus, delves into the intriguing preparations of a billionaire for the impending zompocalypse. The Haus expansion is scheduled for release in Q4 2023.
Sola Festival Expansion
Following this, the second expansion, SOLA Festival, will transport players to the heart of LA’s vibrant party scene. Here, they can experience the excitement of saving the planet in true LA fashion, one rave at a time.
The SOLA Festival expansion is expected to launch in Q2 2024. Both expansions will be included in Dead Island 2’s Expansion Pass, and individual purchase options will also be available for those without the pass.
The latest Dead Island 2 update introduces a feature called Cosplay, allowing players to customise their characters with skins.
Players can access this feature after completing the “Call The Cavalry” quest and can select cosplay options from the main menu or any storage locker in the game.
However, with the release of the new Cosplay feature, Dead Island 2 introduces paid skins. Premium Character Packs offer unique skins for specific slayers along with weapons that can be utilised by any slayer.
With a total of six character packs available for purchase from digital stores, players can choose from a range of options, including:
Silver Star Jacob
Cyber Slayer Amy
Gaelic Queen Dani (included for Expansion Pass owners)
Jungle Fantasy Ryan
Steel Horse Carla
Venice Vogue Bruno
Additionally, the “Til Dawn” Collection provides new skin for each of the six slayers for free. After reaching the unlock point for Cosplay, these skins will automatically appear in the cosplay section.
