They Always Run - Feature Image

Developer Alawar and publisher PID Games have finally launched their slick and stylish 2D platformer, They Always Run, on Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

They Always Run launched onto Steam back in October 2021. Since then, it has enjoyed an outpour of praise from both fans and critics alike. So far, it has amassed a whopping 84% positive rating across 336 Steam user reviews. Fortunately, if you’re getting hyped about it – why wouldn’t you be – but don’t have access to a PC, then fear not. It has launched for both the Xbox and Nintendo Switch today, with promises that a PlayStation port is on its way.

You can check out the game’s console trailer here.

What Is They Always Run?

They Always Run is a fast-paced 2D platformer set in a gorgeous, neon-soaked future. You play as a three-armed bounty hunter – because three is better than two obviously – who gets embroiled in a galaxy-wide conspiracy while taking out ruthless criminals. If you like the sound of hunting down criminals while unravelling your own complex narrative, then look no further. With stunning visuals, engrossing combat and a mature and engaging narrative, it’s practically impossible to hate this indie gem. But, if you’re still not sold, then worry not. Here’s a handy breakdown of just a taste of what you can expect:
