Elden Ring 20 million sales

Elden Ring, The Award-Winning RPG, Has Shipped 20 Million Units

Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware, are pleased to announce that their co-developed action RPG, Elden Ring, has shipped more than 20 million units worldwide.

Released on February 25, 2022, Elden Ring is an open-world action RPG that draws similarities to FromSoftware’s previous titles like Demon Souls or Dark Souls. However, Elden Ring has even managed to enchant people who aren’t into the usual souls-like formula, with its stunning open-world design.

Since its release, the game has been a huge success, garnering worldwide attention and winning countless awards in the process. Most notably, it won four categories, including Game of the Year, at The Game Awards 2022 and “The Best Game You Suck At” on Steam.

New DLC Announcement

In December last year, Elden Ring received a small update for PvP Colosseums and new cosmetic options. The colosseum doors in three locations, Limgrave, Caelid and Leyndell, opened for the first time to reveal a new challenge. While this was certainly a great free update, there has still not been any significant information regarding major DLC for the game.

This has led people to believe that FromSoftware will announce an update in the coming days. Especially when you consider that the game’s anniversary is on February, 25th. FromSoftware even updated their Instagram recently, with people leaving countless comments begging for DLC information.

Elden Ring is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
