Is Diablo 4 on Xbox Game Pass?

Many people are wondering if Diablo 4, the latest entry in the Diablo franchise, is coming to Xbox Game Pass due to the recent Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Players love Xbox Game Pass, and adding the game to the service would be a way for Microsoft to promote the game and attract new subscribers. Fortunately, you’re in luck.

Is Diablo 4 Coming Xbox Game Pass?

Diablo 4 is officially coming to Game Pass on March 28, 2024. The title was originally not on the platform, but considering the game is struggling with a low player count, this might be the boost it needs.

Microsoft has been acquiring several game developers in recent years, including Activision Blizzard, the publisher of Diablo. Therefore, it seemed inevitable that Diablo 4 would one day come to the platform.

Why Didn’t Diablo 4 Come to Xbox Game Pass at Launch?

During the Diablo 4 beta, Rod Fergusson, the General Manager of the Diablo franchise, made a statement on Twitter, stating, “We’ve been getting some questions about Diablo 4 on Game Pass and I want to let you know we have no plans for that.”

While this started as a confident approach, it’s now been confirmed that the game will come to Xbox Game Pass in a special episode of the Official Xbox Podcast featuring Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond, and Matt Booty.

Adding Diablo 4 to Xbox Game Pass will hopefully give it a much-needed revival and allow people to play the game without committing to the full purchase. If you want to check out more news and guides on the game, you can visit our Guide Hub here.
