Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth features a significant collection of enemies who can be quite challenging to overcome, so here is how you change the Difficulty Settings in the game.
The Yakuza series typically provided a more serious approach, with humans being the stock standard enemy engagement. However, the goofy spin-off Yakuza Like a Dragon introduced many different enemy varieties, including giant vacuum cleaners. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth offers the best of both worlds, with foes providing distinct challenging battles, so lowering the difficulty is a great solution to any significant problem.
Can you Change the Difficulty Settings in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Unfortunately, there is no way to change the difficulty settings in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth without finishing the game. The ability to change the difficulty is locked behind New Game+, which is also an additional paid DLC.
Once you have finished the game, you can choose one of the three difficulties: Normal, Hard, and Legend. Normal is the default difficulty, and Legend is the most challenging.
How to Change The Difficulty Settings in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Once you have completed Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, you can start a New Game+ and specify what difficulty you would like to play on. If you want to change the setting, here is what you can do:
- Head to the settings menu
- Click on Game Settings
- Navigate to “Difficulty Level”
- Choose your preferred level.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth New Game+ Difficulties Explained
There are three different difficulties in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth: Normal, Hard, and Legend. Here is the difference between each New Game+ difficulty.
- Normal
- Normal is the default difficulty, and starting a New Game+ with this selected will provide the same difficulty you would face if you had started a fresh game.
- Hard
- Recommended Level 55+. All enemies will be strengthened, and battle rewards will be increased.
- Legend
- Recommended Level 75+. All enemies will be strengthened, and battle rewards will be increased.
Infinite Wealth also has two Trophies and Achievements related to New Game+ and tied to the paid DLC.
