Dia de Muertos 2023 returns to Pokemon Go for another year, honoring the infamous Aztec tradition.

When is the Pokemon GO: Dia de Muertos 2023 Event?
The Pokemon GO: Dia de Muertos 2023 event will occur from Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 10:00 am to Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 8:00 pm local time
This means people from New Zealand will have access to the event almost a whole day before those in the United States.
Pokemon Debuts
For the event, Cubone and its evolution, Marowak, will be wearing a cempasúchil crown, the flower of the dead.
Trainers can use 50 Cubone Candy to evolve Cubone into Marowak, and the crown will stay.
Event Bonuses
The Event Bonuses will center around Lure Modules and Incense, with an additional bonus for those from Latin America and the Caribbean. Here are all the Bonuses:
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 90 minutes.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for 90 minutes.
- 2× Catch Candy
- Additional Candy for transferring Pokemon (Latin America and the Caribbean only)

Featured Avatar items and Stickers
Trainers can celebrate the occasion by purchasing the Dia de Muertos avatar item, which has returned from previous years. It will be available to purchase in the Pokemon Go In-game shop during this event and will continue to be available after the event ends.
Players can also obtain event-themed stickers by spinning PokeStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
