Pokemon Go is continuing its wild push of events for the end of 2023 with the upcoming Festival of Lights.
This event signifies the first time Tadbulb, the EleTadpole Pokemon, and its evolution, Bellibolt, will be catchable in Pokemon Go. Here are all the details:

When is the Pokemon Go: Festival of Lights Event?
The Pokemon Go Festival of Lights event will occur from Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 10:00 am to Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 8:00 pm local time.
This means people from New Zealand will have access to the event almost a whole day before those in the United States.
Pokemon Debuts
Tadbulb, the EleTadpole Pokemon, and its evolution will be available to catch in Pokemon Go for the very first time.
Trainers can use 50 Tadbulb Candy to evolve Tadbulb into Bellibolt.
Event Bonuses
The Event Bonuses will centre around additional Candy and Stardust for hatching Pokemon. Here are all the Bonuses:
- 2× Stardust for hatching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy for hatching Pokémon.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last twice as long.
Timed Research
The Pokemon Go Festival of Lights event will feature event-exclusive Timed Research tasks for players. It will be available from Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 10:00 am to Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 8:00 pm local time.
Players who complete the research tasks will earn an event-exclusive shirt avatar item and encounters with event-themed Pokemon.

These Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild during the Pokemon Go Festival of Lights Event, with Shiny Morelull appearing for the first time:

Eggs
If you equip an egg during the event, you can hatch the following Pokemon from 7 km Eggs:
- Elekid (Shiny Available)

- Morelull (Shiny Available)
Morelull will also have a greater chance to hatch as Shiny than caught in the wild.
Increased Incense encounters
Due to the Festival of Lights Event Bonuses, the following Pokemon will appear more frequently when using Incense:

The Pokemon Go Festival of Light event will feature Litwick and Tadbulb in Pokestop showcases.
New Avatar Item
The following avatar item will be available to purchase in the Pokemon Go In-game shop during this event and will continue to be available after the event ends.
