MultiVersus Has Finally Returned & It’s Better Than Ever

After a long wait, MultiVersus has finally made its comeback after ending its Open Beta. Here’s everything you need to know.

Warner Bros. has officially launched MultiVersus for everyone to enjoy. It has already made a fantastic debut, as thousands of people have given it “Very Positive” reviews on Steam alone. Those new to MultiVersus and returning Open Beta players are finally able to enjoy the game to its full potential and battle together in exhilarating gameplay.

What Is MultiVersus?

MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform game in which players battle others as some of their favorite iconic characters from Warner Bros. MultiVersus has a massive cast of playable characters that will only grow as the seasons go by. Some characters included at launch are Batman, The Joker, Bugs Bunny, Steven Universe, Jason Voorhees, Tom and Jerry, Shaggy, Arya Stark, MultiVersus original character Reindog, and many more. Players will also be happy to know that a large selection of characters are voiced by their actual actors, such as Maisie Williams voicing Arya Stark.

There are many ways to enjoy MultiVersus, and it has been released with a brand-new Player vs Environment (PvE) mode named Rifts. These feature missions with unexpected twists, requiring you to fight bosses and engage in mini-games. This is all while earning unique rewards alone or with a friend. This new mode allows players to jump into a new experience, as opposed to the Play vs Player matches (PvP).

However, Rifts are not the only other experience players can enjoy. MultiVersus also includes 2 vs. 2 team-based cooperative mode, 1 vs. 1 matches, 4-player free-for-all, co-op vs. A.I., custom online lobbies, The Lab (practice mode), tutorials, and local play matches supporting up to four players. MultiVersus also utilizes a tailor-made rollback netcode to support online play and matchmaking. These are all available to enjoy from launch against many old and new maps, featuring improved lighting and visuals. Some maps include Dexter’s Laboratory, The Batcave, and The Powerpuff Girls.

What Platforms Is MultiVersus On?

MultiVersus is available to play for free on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch users cannot get in on the action as MultiVersus is currently unavailable on the platform. However, this could change in the future. Either way, Nintendo Switch users will need to be patient to hear an official announcement,
