Secondary Weapons in XDefiant can be a last-minute lifesaver. Our tier list will help you select the best option to defeat your opponents with.
Although Primary Weapons in XDefiant are what players can rely on to compete in matches, the Secondary Weapons are a significant lifeline. Swapping out your weapon to a Secondary is always better than reloading. However, if the Secondary you use isn’t practical, you may end up losing the majority of gunfights. Fortunately, we have provided a tier list of the five Secondary Weapons in XDefiant below, from strongest to weakest.

S Tier – 93R (Pistol)
- How to Unlock: Sprint for a total of 240 seconds while holding a Secondary Weapon.
The 93R (the Raffica) is a burst fire Pistol. Due to its high fire rate, it is the best Secondary Weapon for players to use in XDefiant. Aside from the burst mode of fire, the damage output for the Pistol is high, and it houses a 15-magazine size. Furthermore, it provides great accuracy that will work at short to medium range and keep you alive when needed. Topping it up with attachments will only better the 93R.
Tier A – D50 (Pistol)
- How to Unlock: Deal 1,000 damage with Secondary Weapons.
The D50 or Desert Eagle is another great choice for players. It has a moderate amount of recoil, but given its very high damage output, the trade-off is worth it. Its magazine also has seven rounds, giving you a decent amount of shots to help you press on. The area where it lacks is in its fire rate, as with Desert Eagles in other games. The D50 in XDefiant is a slow shooter, sacrificing its speed for hitting your enemy as hard as possible. However, given its fast mobility, like the other Secondary Weapons, the D50 makes up more than enough for the con.
Tier A – M9 (Pistol)
- How to Unlock: Unlocked by default.
The M9 is an all-around good starter pistol pick. It provides fantastic accuracy, moderate damage, and an average rate of fire. Furthermore, it has the same number of rounds as the 93R, 15 shots. However, what doesn’t allow the M9 to match up with the 93R is that a much slower fire rate holds it back than its burst mode companion.
Tier B – 686 Magnum (Pistol)
- How to Unlock: Get 5 Quick-Swap kills.
The 686 Magnum is a Revolver that packs a punch with high damage. However, it falters when it comes to accuracy, as it has a high amount of recoil. Additionally, it has an incredibly slow rate of fire that will always be outmatched by other weapons, especially Secondaries, in a firefight.
Tier C – M1911 (Pistol)
- How to Unlock: Get 4 Point-Blank kills with a Secondary Weapon.
While iconic, the M1911 is the weakest of the Secondary Weapons in XDefiant. While it has a moderate amount of recoil per shot, its slower rate of fire puts it only just above the 686 Magnum. Additionally, the damage output it provides at close range is impressive. Still, any further away, players will need a good amount of its 7-round magazine to make a lasting effect on their opponent.
