XDefiant sees players duke it out in arena-style matches as characters from across Ubisoft’s various game universes and properties with a twist. Much like Call of Duty, XDefiant will get frequent updates in the form of Seasons. However, right now it is currently in Preseason. Of course, as we enjoy the Preseason, many are curious about when Season 1 of XDefiant will start. Fortunately, we have the details on its release date. Additionally, we have the details on what players can expect to arrive with the launch of the game’s first season.

When is the Season 1 Release Date of XDefiant?
Season 1 of XDefiant is likely to be launching on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. While Ubisoft has not yet confirmed the launch date of Season 1, the Preseason Battle Pass ends on that date. So, it is extremely likely that the first Season will drop after the Preseason ends. Of course, it is possible that this date will change. However, aside from any unforeseen delays, we doubt it will.
XDefiant Season 1 Battle Pass Details
Season 1 of XDefiant will feature an all-new Battle Pass with over 90 tiers of content to unlock. The rewards within the pass will vary from weapon skins to to character skins, emotes to free weapons, and everything in between. The Preseason Battle Pass for the game has given us a good idea of what to expect for the upcoming seasons. Players can expect even more rewards, though, as future battle passes for XDefiant have 90 tiers, while the Preseason only has 50. However, when it comes to a specific theme, we are going to have to wait and see for more details closer to the release of Season 1.
What to Expect in Season 1 of XDefiant
Players will be able to unlock a new Faction and three new weapons, plus three new maps to play on with the arrival of Season 1 of XDefiant. Regarding the Factions of the game, there are no details on what this new one will be. However, we do know that Ubisoft will be bringing in a Faction from one of their IPs. Whether it is the Assassins from Assassin’s Creed or the Highwaymen from Far Cry: New Dawn, there are many different possibilities in Ubisoft’s wheelhouse.
Additionally, players will be able to unlock more weapons in Season 1. The guns will be spread throughout the Battle Pass. However, as with the Preseason, players can earn the weapons for free by just reaching the appropriate Tier. Players who tire of seeing the same environments repeatedly are also in luck. The development team is going to be bringing additional maps to compete on. The inclusion of more maps will give a refreshing take to the matches. However, we won’t know more about the maps or weapons until closer to Season 1.
