The majority of guns in XDefiant need to be unlocked. Fortunately, you don’t have to buy them with real money. Instead, each weapon can be unlocked by completing an in-game challenge. However, there are a handful of challenges that are a little difficult to understand. Case in point, the MP7. Fortunately, if you were hoping to unlock this powerful SMG, you’re in luck. How to Unlock the MP7 in XDefiant
To unlock the MP7 in XDefiant, you must get 20 point-blank kills with an SMG. A point-blank kill counts as anything done at extreme close range or less than five meters away from your target. Once you’ve hit this milestone, you’ll unlock the MP7 and can begin leveling it up and earning new attachments for it.
To get 20 point-blank kills, we recommend using the MP5A2, as this is not only used by default but is easily one of the best primary weapons in the game. It is pretty powerful and, more importantly, very accurate, especially up close. Alternatively, if you have unlocked it, you can try using the P90. While it’s weaker, the 50-round magazine allows you to deal most of the damage from afar while running in for the point-blank kill.
The MP7 is definitely worth unlocking. We ranked it in our S-tier for primary weapons thanks to its impressive damage output and range.
